Frequently Asked Questions
What is PHOSTONE™?
A granular struvite fertiliser supplying phosphorus, ammonium nitrogen and magnesium.
How is it different from conventional phosphate fertiliser?
PHOSTONE™ is sparingly soluble in water and releases nutrients more gradually than highly water-soluble phosphate fertilisers.
Can PHOSTONE™ replace all fertilisers?
No. It provides phosphorus, nitrogen and magnesium. A complete programme should reflect the crop, soil test and potassium or micronutrient requirements.
Which crops is it suitable for?
PHOSTONE™ may be suitable for cereals, maize, oil palm, sugarcane, horticulture, fruit trees and turf.
Can I reduce my phosphorus application rate?
Research indicates that struvite may support more efficient phosphorus use. Rates should always be determined through local agronomic advice and soil testing.
Is PHOSTONE™ environmentally responsible?
Its slow-release profile and recovered nutrient origin support more responsible phosphorus management. The benefits depend on correct application rate, timing and placement.
